Alumni Enjoy the All-School Reunion!
Graduates, from the 1940's through 2010, gathered to share memories, celebrate Mass and help raise money for the Academy students. The day started with alumni touring the 'Big School', sharing stories about classes, teachers and the fun they at St. Al's.
At the 11:30 mass, Fr. Joe welcomed the alumni back and the 8th grade students showed their poise and respect, as they participated in various ways throughout the mass. After mass approximately one hundred alumni members, as well as the current faculty and administration enjoyed the luncheon, held at the Casino-in-the-Park . Many alumni members commented on how impressed they were with the manner in which the students conducted themselves and how well maintained the school is. They were also thrilled to learn that the school is growing.
All in attendance agreed that the reunion was a wonderful idea and a success!
It's not to late to support the school. If you would like to make a donation, please consider making a donation to the funds listed below. Your donation can be made payable to the St. Aloysius Alumni Association and mailed to the school. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
Fr. McNulty Technology Fund
In order to offer our students a 21st Century learning environment, it is critical to keep up with the advancements in technology. By donating to this fund, you will help to revitalize the school's computer lab, as well as invest in technology that can be used in the classroom. Once the lab is completed, it will be named in honor of Fr. McNulty.
James & Dorothy Walling Scholarship Fund
The number one reason why students transfer out of St. Aloysius is simply because their parents can no longer afford the tuition cost. The goal of this fund is to help struggling families keep their children in St. Al's, giving these students the chance to say: "I graduated from St. Aloysius!"
Mr. Berube Capital Improvement Fund
The "Big" school was built in 1922. While the building is in relatively good shape, repairs are costly. Primary responsibility, for all repairs, falls upon the school. The money in this fund will be used to pay back loans needed for the new roof and brick work, as well as other repairs.
Sr. Mary Eucharia Curriculum Enhancement Fund
There is more to an education than school books. The purpose of this fund is to provide students with educational tools and experiences. Hands-on learning activities, cultural assemblies, gym equipment and preschool learning toys are some of the things that this fund will be used for.
