This year in 2nd Grade

 

• Read many interesting stories in Reading.
• Practice writing sentences
• Learn cursive writing
• Learn many concepts in Math (regrouping, time, money, measurement)
• Receive Reconciliation and First Eucharist
• Learn about dinosaurs in Science
• Learn about other countries and cultures

Some other fun activities:

• Participated in many activities during Catholic Schools’ Week
• Enjoy a picnic in the park in the spring
• Participate in the yearly walk-a-thon
• Support “Hats On Day” for children who have lost their hair to cancer
• Create pinwheels for “Pinwheels for Peace Day”
• Help the children at St. Jude’s Hospital with a school wide Math-A-Thon
• Participate in many projects with our 7th Grade “Big Buddies”
• Send holiday card to our adoptive Grandmother
• The class trips have included the Crayola Factory and Wild West City
